On the palate, third by third
First third
Clean, bright flavours: cedar, nutty sweetness and a citrus touch, with a light creaminess.
Second third
Cocoa and toasted coffee with a hint of white pepper; medium, balanced strength.
Final third
Earthy and woody notes, bitter chocolate and a light sweetness that lingers on the palate.
Construction
The Habano binder gives a firm structure and a perfect draw; the Sumatra wrapper adds sheen and texture.
Pairing
Aged rum, a vanilla-noted malt whisky or a café con leche.
