On the palate, third by third
First third
Dark cocoa, espresso and leather with a spicy edge. Dense, aromatic smoke with the natural sweetness of the wrapper.
Second third
Damp earth and toasted nuts; the intensity holds with a black-pepper finish.
Final third
Smoked wood, bitter chocolate and a mineral touch of the San Andrés terroir. The strength peaks here.
Construction
A dark, oily wrapper with barely visible veins. The Toro format gives a perfect draw and an even burn.
Pairing
Smoky whisky, aged rum or a double espresso.
